This section has the goal of studying the vertebrates and invertebrates of Iran.Unfortunately, over the years some threats including land use change and degradation of habitats, hunting, fishing, invasive alien species, pollution and some natural factors such as climate change and global warming, have caused the damage to natural environment. Our indicators for assessment and determination of the status of species are based on the criteria and indicators of the red list of IUCN. In the archives of the group, there are more than 29660 specimens from fauna of Iran and about 13120 records registered in the database bank.
